Clear the Way

Synopsis:  A narrative/promotional video to help prevent pollution in Salt Lake City, Utah

I directed, edited, and animated "Clear the Way" for a class project.  I then submitted the video to the Imagine Clean Air Film Competition and the film received the Honorable Mention award.  This was a tough project to undertake in such a short amount of time due to it being half live action and half animation, but, overall, it really helped me learn more about the use of chroma keying and 2D animation.

Sigep Memories

Synopsis:  This rush video was created to show what Sigeps at the U are doing every week, and to help promote the ideal image of a Sigep recruit:  A man of sound mind and sound body.

I directed, helped filmed, and edited this rush video for the Sigma Phi Epsilon chapter at the University of Utah.  This film has gone on to win "Nation's Best Fall 2011 Sigma Phi Epsilon Rush Video" and helped recruit loyal, helpful brothers to Utah's chapter.

Monopoly

Synopsis:  Modeled after a still life painting from Vanessa Blunden, a giant glass container imposes its authority upon nearby objects as metaphor for monopolization.

This is my first 3D computer animation short created using Maya.  It symbolizes the cutthroat society of the monopoly system through inanimate objects.  I really wanted to focus on the animation flow of the piece, as opposed to any other aspect of the film.  The still life painting that the art is adapted from was created by Vanessa Blunden.
